CBT:  Cognitive Behavior Therapy--one of our specialties!  Cognitive-behavioral therapy is based on the idea that our thoughts cause our feelings and behaviors, not external things, like people, situations, and events.  The benefit is that we can change the way we think, feel and act even if the situation does not change.

Trauma Therapy--What is trauma?  Trauma is an event that causes a person to experience frightening thoughts and painful feelings.  There are two types of trauma — physical and mental.  How can we help?

Through Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing or EMDR--a comprehensive, integrative psychotherapy approach to trauma therapy. It incorporates many different therapies in an 8 phase process designed to maximize treatment effects. EMDR helps people identify and cope with the trauma in their lives.
