Get Centered at the Center

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

As we continue to navigate the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation, our first thought and priority is for the safety and well-being of our clients and employees.  In these unprecedented times, it is important that we come together to support each other.

With this in mind, we have taken precautions to protect our clients and our staff.

  • Our agency has shortened our office hours to 9:00a-5:00p.

  • Services:  There will be no interruption in services, except 95% will be conducted telephonically.  All group sessions, individuals, midpoints and exit will be done over the phone.

  • All intakes and court enrollments will continue in person, maintaining the social distancing directive, as well as monitoring any symptoms.

  • Telecounseling for Intakes.  You will now have an option to do your intakes via video conferencing.  Please call to ask for more details.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our office at (520) 229-6220 or (520) 885-1738.  Our phone lines are extremely busy, so please leave a message and we will return it promptly.

Counseling is our specialty!

CBT:  Cognitive Behavior Therapy--one of our specialties!  Cognitive-behavioral therapy is based on the idea that our thoughts cause our feelings and behaviors, not external things, like people, situations, and events.  The benefit is that we can change the way we think, feel and act even if the situation does not change.

Trauma Therapy--What is trauma?  Trauma is an event that causes a person to experience frightening thoughts and painful feelings.  There are two types of trauma — physical and mental.  How can we help?

Through Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing or EMDR--a comprehensive, integrative psychotherapy approach to trauma therapy. It incorporates many different therapies in an 8 phase process designed to maximize treatment effects. EMDR helps people identify and cope with the trauma in their lives.
